Taking care of your mouth is important for preventing serious oral health issues and maintaining the health of your mouth. To ensure that your condition calls for a periodontal expert, we offer a free consultation (typically valued at $400) that includes any radiographs Dr. Everett and Dr. Morgan may need for proper diagnosis and to develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs and desires.

Periodontics

Periodontics is the dental specialty that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of issues affecting your gum tissue. The goal is to help restore your oral health and maintain the health of your periodontal structures. Common periodontal treatments we perform include:
•  Periodontal cleanings. A periodontal cleaning is a more involved cleaning than a routine cleaning. It is a deep cleaning, often called scaling and root planing, that involves cleaning the surfaces of your teeth both above and below the gum line.
•  Pocket reduction surgery. This is a surgical procedure performed when the periodontal pockets are too deep to effectively clean with a periodontal cleaning. It is a minor surgical procedure that allows us to thoroughly clean your teeth so that your gums can begin to reattach to your teeth.
•  Soft tissue grafting. Soft tissue grafting is performed when you have suffered gum recession. Grafting restores a more natural gum line, giving you back your oral health and your smile.
•  Crown lengthening. Crown lengthening is performed when you have excess gum tissue. Excess tissue causes your teeth to appear small. It also increases your risk for gum disease.

Orthodontic Assistance

We can provide treatment for complex orthodontic issues with orthodontic assistance. Orthodontic assistance helps to realign your teeth to improve your smile as well as your oral health. We provide treatments such as:
•  Exposing impacted canines. This is a procedure that involves bracketing the impacted teeth and attaching them to your orthodontic work with a small chain. This encourages the teeth to emerge through the gums and into proper alignment.
•  PAOO. PAOO is a treatment that helps to decrease time in braces while also helping to improve bone thickness around the teeth and preventing gum recession.
•  Temporary Anchorage Device. Temporary anchorage devices are dental implants placed with the sole purpose of providing temporary support for the movement of your teeth. These devices help to prevent unwanted tooth movement.
•  Congenitally missing teeth. Some individuals exhibit congenitally missing teeth. This is a condition in which one or more of the adult teeth do not develop or erupt. We can provide treatment for these missing teeth, often with the use of dental implants.

Oral Surgery

Oral surgery is often necessary to treat complex situations. Some types of surgical procedures we provide include:
•  Surgical tooth extractions. This includes extracting impacted wisdom teeth as well as extracting severely damaged, decayed, or infected teeth.
•  Ridge or socket preservation. This procedure is typically done immediately following tooth extraction. It involves a bone graft, which fills in the empty socket so prevents bone loss and allows for the placement of a dental implant.

Sedation

Many patients experience anxiety or even fear when it comes to receiving dental treatment, particularly when the procedures are more involved, such as surgery. If you are feeling anxious about your procedure, we can help you to relax and remain comfortable with sedation. In addition to providing local anesthetics, we also provide nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and IV sedation. Not only does sedation help you to feel more at ease, but it also makes your procedures safer for us to perform.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are small titanium posts that are surgically placed into your jaw to provide support for your dental restorations. Your bone fuses to the posts to stabilize them within your jaw, allowing them to provide secure support. Implants can be used to replace a single missing tooth, several missing teeth, or even a full arch.

Oral Pathology

The soft tissues in your mouth, or mucosa, are smooth and pink when healthy. Changes in the color or texture of your intraoral tissues can indicate oral health issues. These issues might be benign or malignant, but they should be treated right away. We can diagnose some pathological diseases, including oral cancer, and provide you with the treatment you need.
