Our receptionists and office manager will help you schedule appointments and complete necessary paperwork. They will also answer any billing questions that you may have.

Patient Appointments

Our goal is to allow you to be seen on time for your appointment, do all necessary scheduled treatments, make appointments as stress free as possible, and to minimize interruptions to your busy schedule. We understand that everyone has important obligations throughout the day, and that your time is very valuable.

In order to better accommodate our patients’ busy schedules, we offer early morning and late afternoon appointments and are even open on specific Saturdays.

Cancellation Policy

Kindly provide at least 48 hours notice for any appointment that needs to be rescheduled. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation charge.

Financial and Insurance Information

High Plains Periodontics & Implant Dentistry wants you to have the smile you desire and deserve, and we certainly don't want finances to be a complication in this process. We try our best to make sure the payment process at our office is as stress-free and easy for our patients as possible.

This is one of the reasons we accept a variety of flexible and affordable payment methods and offer low down payments with convenient monthly payment plans with no interest financing.

Our on-site financial coordinators will be happy to sit down with you during your free initial consultation to explore the different payment options and help you choose the best payment option for your situation.

At High Plains Periodontics & Implant Dentistry, we gladly accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. We also accept third-party financial plans such as CareCredit and Alphaeon which allows patients to make monthly payments over time for their procedure, often at low or no interest for qualified applicants.

Insurance

Taking care of your teeth is very important for your health and appearance. Some people receive a dental insurance plan through their employer’s benefits. Dental insurance is different from Medical insurance. Your dental benefits are based on the agreement your employer negotiated with your insurance carrier. Many patients aren’t familiar with the specifics of their dental insurance benefits. Please review the insurance benefits booklet provided by your employer to better understand the benefits they make available as part of your insurance coverage. Your payment portion for covered procedures varies depending on the coverage provided by your employer. An estimate of the amount covered by your insurance company will be provided at the time of your treatment, based on the information they provide to us. The estimate is never a guarantee of benefits or the amount that will be paid. This does not, however, transfer the responsibility of your financial obligation to the insurance company. If the amount paid by the insurance company is less than or greater than the estimate, then you will be billed the difference or issued a credit on the account in the event of an overpayment.

We want to make the insurance process easy and convenient. As a courtesy we will gladly file all insurance companies to assist you in receiving your maximum benefits and handle insurance questions on your behalf. Our team provides the best patient care and support there is to offer, and that includes making sure all your paperwork and insurance claims are in the right order to be submitted and processed to help you maximize any dental benefits provided by you or your employer.

If you do not have dental insurance, don’t worry. We will sit down with you and discuss several payment plan options to assist you and get you the oral health care you need and deserve. Regardless of your financial situation, you should never dismiss an opportunity that will drastically change your quality of life. Our first and only priority is our patients and the quality of care we are able to provide, not to appease an insurance company.

If we don’t accept your insurance and are considered an “Out of Network” provider, we are still eligible to obtain benefit payments from most insurance carriers.

Appointments & Consultations


We are happy to schedule a second-opinion consultation with our doctors to discuss treatment diagnosed for you. It is important to us that our patients are committed fully to a recommended course of treatment, and we make every effort to provide all available information on the types of treatment completed at High Plains Periodontics & Implant Dentistry, as well as options to make appointments comfortable.

All patients that are referred to our office from another practice, or who have self-referred themselves for a second opinion are required to undergo a complete examination by one of our doctors before they provide their diagnosis opinion. Please ensure that all available x-rays and chart notes from your prior office have been transferred to us prior to the scheduled appointment for review. Please note that many offices require 7–14 business days to transfer records.

It is imperative that we have all available dental (and medical if related to trauma or medically diagnosed disorder) insurance information in a timely manner, as we will be providing you with a comprehensive treatment estimate after your consultation with the doctor.
