ORAL SURGERY

WHEN ORAL SURGERY IS NECESSARY

Not all complex cases require oral surgery, but for those that do, Dr. Everett offers a number of surgical procedures that can be performed in our office. Our services can save you from the need to visit a separate oral health specialist for treatment. For optimal results, planning for oral surgery typically involves the use of CBCT (cone beam computed tomography), digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, and other digital imaging technology.

  • Extractions – complex tooth extractions, such as those involving impacted wisdom teeth, may require oral surgery to remove the tooth without damaging surrounding teeth, tissues, and alveolar bone structure.
  • Ridge Preservation – your dental ridges can lose bone mass and tissue as a result of trauma, periodontal disease, or the prolonged absence of one or more teeth. Preserving and restoring the ridges may call for a surgical procedure, such as bone grafting, or sinus ridge augmentation.

Find Out if Your Situation Calls for Oral Surgery

Before recommending oral surgery, Dr. Everett will perform a free consultation (typically valued at $400) that includes any radiographs he may need for proper diagnosis. If your examination reveals that oral surgery is necessary, then he will work closely with you to develop an appropriate treatment plan.
